To make sure we can deliver our commitments to you our customers, our partners, and the planet, we remain focused on constantly reviewing and improving the way we do business. Our responsibility. Our future working and living together. Our positive impact.
Sustainability has become the new fashionable buzzword for governments and corporations alike. For us, sustainability isn’t just a passing fad or sales gimmick. For us, providing sustainable woodwork is a calling and not just a business model. A calling that we put at the heart of Evergreen Woodwork and work tirelessly to evolve and ever-improve upon.
We buy locally, whether its our raw materials like British grown timber or leather from England’s oldest traditional tannery (in the neighbouring village Colyton). Or whether it’s our workshop machinery we believe that if we support our local economy, we support our local communities’ jobs. The fact it will also reduce our carbon footprint further is just a bonus. But by having these morals at our core, it allows us to put people and the planet first.
We know supporting local businesses and buying British materials only goes so far, environmentally. That’s why we're proud to be a climate positive workforce, partnering with Ecologi to offset our employees carbon footprints, including emissions from their home, personal travel, holidays, food, hobbies and more.
In return, Ecologi plant trees to restore healthy forests around the globe and fund the world’s best climate crisis solutions.
They are also our tree planting partner for out online web shop (coming soon). This means that with any purchase from our shop, you plant a tree. Take out a bespoke project with us and we’ll plant at least 25 trees. Want more? Get in touch and we’ll sort out a bespoke tree planting package for your project.
